AEC Swift

London Transport had ordered the AEC Swifts before the country area was nationalised. After the separation, London Country received its quota of them.

These dual-door vehicles were conceived as replacements for the RTs.

They did not last long. Mechanical problems and lack of maintenance staff meant that they were replaced by Leyland Nationals after only a few years of service.
